The SW-DR-2 Kit offers a convenient and cost-effective solution to drive Agiltron’s optical switches, including CrystaLatch™ (CL), LightBend™ (LB), 1DMEMS, and Fiber-Fiber™ (FF) types, with support for up to 15 activation points. The kit includes a main control board, a switch-mounting daughter board, a graphical user interface (GUI), a power supply, and a computer interface cable. Switching logic for each switch is pre-programmed (burned-in). The evaluation board supports RS232, USB, and TTL interfaces, with interface selection configurable via an onboard jumper. Designed for flexibility, the board can control multiple switches simultaneously and adapt to various application scenarios. Compatibility with different switch types is achieved through the application-specific daughter board, where fiber connections can be made via splicing if cascading is required. A user-specific Windows™ GUI is included on a USB stick packaged with the kit.
Each SW-DR-2 is designed to mount a specific Agiltron switch at the company. They are not made for customers to install at the customer site due to the complexity and the amount of support required.
