The Variable Photonic Time Delay System (SLTD) is a turn-key fiber-based solution that delivers true-time delay with fiber optic input and output, offering delay lengths up to milliseconds, ultra-fast switching speeds as low as 10 ns, and high resolution up to 25 bits. The system digitally adjusts delay by routing the optical signal through combinations of internal fiber loops, with performance tailored to user requirements. Three optical switch types—MEMS (ms), CL (ms), and NS (ns)—are available to meet varying speed needs. Dispersion-compensated fibers ensure signal fidelity at high RF frequencies, while integrated amplification balances optical loss across long paths. The SLTD includes USB/GUI and RS232 interfaces, with optional TTL control and a front-panel touchscreen.
